DAY 3: It seems the hatchling's Shadow magic is fading, slowly being replaced... by what, we are not sure.

DAY 9: The subject has expressed a desire for a toy. We are not able to bring one into the lab at this stage, and so gave him a Juvenile Starsweeper containing our last failed experiment.
He has named it Sunshine. This is interesting, as he does not know what sunshine is or does...

DAY 15: The subject is continuing to show a strange affinity for sunlight. He was observed yesterday attempting to make a potion to change the color of his eyes. There is still no magic that can do that, so he was unsuccessful.
He did, however, demonstrate a surprising knowledge about alchemy, especially at such a young age. Vulpecula's station is near Subject 2_a's nursery/observation room, and he has decided to teach the hatchling more about alchemy.
This was decided by the team to be a good idea, partly because research dictated that hatchlings require at least three hours of interaction a day to develop good relationships with their peers.

Day 23: 2_a's scales are beginning to change color, as are his eyes...

1 MONTH: The hatchling's personality has begun to develop. He is extremely inquisitive about his surroundings, and regularly tries to get into the vending machine. After a few complaints about there being no snacks until someone does a supply run, we put a new lock on the machine. This had little effect, as 2_a immediately melted the lock with a bottle of transmuted Blue Dragon Reef Snail venom.

1 MONTH, 15 DAYS: The hatchling's teeth have finished growing in. His scales are giving off a slight glow, the cause of which is still unknown.

1 MONTH, 22 DAYS: There has been talk in the lab of giving the hatchling a name.

2 MONTHS, 3 DAYS: It has been decided that the hatchling has not yet earned a name. However, some of my colleagues have begun a list comprised of possible names for him.

2 MONTHS, 17 DAYS: Tragedy has struck. 2_a's father, the legendary king FinalDrakenStar, has gone missing. We have not told the hatchling, although we are curious to see how he will respond...

3 MONTHS, 2 DAYS: News of FinalDrakenStar has reached our clan. He is not missing, but has merely moved on to another flight. The hatchling does not seem affected. "It would have been NICE if they had TOLD us this SOONER," one of my colleagues said in a statement earlier today.

5 MONTHS, 23 DAYS: The hatchling's wings have begun to melt away, soon to be replaced by his permanent scales. Once these grow in, he will have earned a name and be given a keycard to the lab as a paid intern.

6 MONTHS: The hatchling's scales have almost fully grown in. As always, any ties to his old clans will be severed when he receives a name. The interclan diplomacy group have decided that the hatchling's father is welcome to visit the clan, but the hatchling will now have to file an official request to leave the clan.

6 MONTHS, 4 DAYS: The hatching's scales have grown in.
