Although Sapling appears to be a hatchling, she is actually a fully grown and battle-hardened dragon. She travels with The Wanderers in order to meet new dragons and learn more about the world.

Sapling is almost as knowledgeable as Konstantin, solely because she has an insatiable thirst for knowledge. So, anytime The Wanderers meet a new dragon on their travels, she demands (nicely, of course) that they teach her whatever they specialize in.

This was how Sapling first got introduced to technology- a dragon who had a deep level of knowledge in computers and the internet. She asked him to teach her, and he obliged, immersing the Veilspun with everything from coding to social networking. Of course, Sapling loved it and continues to indulge herself in technology to this day, even going so far as to become her colony’s tech expert.

When Sapling isn’t helping map out The Wanderer’s next path or helping to communicate with the Cloud Village, she’ll probably be talking with Cyber, Glitch, or Nyx. The first two reside in the Cloud Village, so Sapling rarely sees them in the flesh, but she enjoys chatting about all things tech with them over the internet. Sapling’s talks with Nyx are more history-oriented, though, as the Wildclaw is a walking textbook and loves to indulge Sapling with tales of long ago.
