The transition from Wind to Earth wasn't completely smooth. Kamrin, Virrin's first mate, took a long time to settle in Dragonhome, living on the edge of the clan and making frequent trips south. As a Mirror, the dangers of the Scarred Wasteland were less of her concern for Kamrin than they were for others, and she often got as far as the Windswept Plateau.

As time went on and the clan expanded, Kamrin spent less time as a lookout and more with the various familiars pattering around the place. She finally seems to have discovered her purpose there. Any familiar who hasn't bonded with a particular dragon can be found curled up with Kamrin, and they often bring her reports of any hatchlings who get up to mischief.

It takes new arrivals to the clan some time to adjust to Kamrin skittering about, slithering across the walls and dropping down unexpectedly on anybody who misbehaves (regardless of size). She isn’t the friendliest sort, which doesn’t help, but it’s more because she prefers to keep herself to herself than out of animosity. Once clan members get used to her they treat her with as much respect as Virrin. After all, she is one of the clan’s founders.
