Biography
"To flutter, as a cloth in the breeze"
Mate: Sprocket
Carida: Ancient, wise, and has seen far too much.
She is the undenied Matriarch of the Wordsingers, and she has kept their ever-expanding numbers in check and under control. She is unusual for a Fae, in that she speaks with emotion and has a deep understanding of other breeds, but many whisper that this is because of her great age...and, some say, because she is directly a daughter of the Arcanist himself. Born of no parents, with the blood in her veins showing no magical ties to any known dragon clans, she is a mystery that came from the topmost levels of the Observatory one day far back in memory, her colourless form shifting to the saturated hues she now carries the farther she descended, until she was as bright and rich as her eyes.
Carida does not dispute these whispers, which lends credence to them, as she is known to put down lies more swiftly than a Guardian protecting their Charge from an attack. Instead, if asked, she merely smiles, which is enough to put those not of her clan off, as that is something Fae who are not 'touched' do not do.
Regardless of what causes it, she is firm and fair to all, and she is universally loved by all in the clan, whether those she raised herself or those who have joined from other places or born to other parents. She asks but a few simple things of those who wish to join her clan: Dwell in peace with the others. Serve the clan as best you can. Do not deny the Heart Song that you create, as it is like none other.
And last but not least, love.
