Namalki was born to a large clan in the shadow of the Observatory, and she quickly became a top student. However, as a Guardian she felt the innate drive to leave her clan and search for her charge. She finally came upon the remains of a meteorite burrowed into a cavern, drawn to its magical aura. Knowing this would be her charge, Namalki dug a great subterranean cavern to protect the item where she could study it and attempt to solve the mystery of its magic and the odd, lavender liquid that seeped from it. As time passed, the Sideris Clan grew up around her discovery and thrived under her practical leadership.
However, after many moons tragedy struck Sideris Clan. Namalki accepted the challenge of an dangerous experiment, pushed by the elemental Acolytes who were assisting her studies at the request of their deities. But her understanding of the "Violet Water" was not advanced enough for the task, and she lost control of its magic. The pod exploded and killed her mate as he protected her. At the loss of both her mate and her Charge by her own doing, Namalki fell into a dark despair and became closed off to her clanmates. The visiting Nature ambassadors at the time, Sucellus and Arduinna, took the clan under their wings and led them to the Viridian Labyrinth for a new start. Namalki showed little reaction to the move, and so the other dragons did what they could to keep her healthy and comfortable, hoping that they could get her to open up and become the vibrant dragon she once was.
As the deputy of Sideris Clan under Namalki, Dimar the wildclaw was instrumental in keeping the remaining clan members together as they transitioned to the Nature Flight under the leadership of the former ambassadors Sucellus and Arduinna. While the new leaders handled the political and trade responsibilities of the new Sideris-on-Riverbank, Dimar was more involved in the day to day activities of the clan and had the closest relationship with most of the dragons there.
Under this three-pronged management, Sideris-on-Riverbank became a thriving trading hub built among the waterfalls and treehouses of the Gladeveins. They created a name for themselves by growing and producing quality tea as well as hosting travellers and traders from all Flights, welcoming them with carefully-tended shrine trees for dragons of each element. As they grew larger and flourished further, the clan developed a series of aqueducts to water their tea fields from the Gladeveins and tended to a herd of cerdae along the banks. They proudly escorted many dragons to exaltation for the Gladekeeper.
