Basanti

(Beltane 2021 hatch)
(Name means "spring" in India)

During Beltane, Basanti and her sibling Balark had been found as hatchlings by Kalahari who had been setting up her tea stall. Balark had eaten some of the herbs that Kalahari had in stock with the plan to sell to customers. As both of the siblings were young Kalahari had forgiven them for their action but on the condition both Balark and Basanti would help her sell some tea.

Basanti started learning of the different types of herbs and teas as Kalahari would teach them. Balark had rebelled sometimes finding that they will sometimes take some of the tea which Kalahari would swat his little arm at the time. Basanti found Kalahari to be rather courteous if not harsh when it came to the discipline of selling tea.

Although young Unni would hear the Arcanist whisper that Basanti would be required some training against the BeastClans. As most of the recruits from Hephormet had been trained to fend of against imposters like the Yitva and especially BeastClan members it was seen as customary. Basanti was not against it but found it to be different compared to setting up tea with Kalahari. The training would be rough and she would miss days of selling tea. Now that she has completed the training Balark aspires to have some of the same too although refuted by Kalahari seeing as Balark had some problems with customers and other members in Hephormet.
