Biography
Like every child born in greenweather, Iph is an etymologist who knows the power of all words on the wind. Her talents extend beyond the oral to a more arcane archaeology: she can map every drop of blood that salts the sea-- whatever compels the one wounded and where, and how deep, life's currents will ferry them. Whether they reach whalebone or anoint some distant shore, only she can say what the blood foretells of the soul. (Keeps a string of pearlcatchers' tokens around her neck, and has the even unsightlier habit of nibbling at them.) "Once upon a time, a siren played a game of cat and mouse with two vampires - and was victorious, at least until the wind turned. It has not been so easy to best, for the Goddess of Hard Harvests curses the children of this union with a wanderlust greenly apparent to the eye: though they may be safest at sea, it is not their heart's desire.
