Biography

“As the Sky returns, the split clan will face their hardest challenge yet. Learning to coexist.”

Her vision was blurry. Not too odd, as she hadn’t opened them for years. She could barely lift her head. She felt weak. She saw two fuzzy blobs of color standing over her. Too confused, and perhaps afraid, she stayed silent, watching them move around. As the minutes passed, their muddled voices slowly became more discernible and she could finally see who they were.
Only, she didn’t know who they were. She couldn’t recognize the two faces now staring down at her in pure shock. After a few seconds of stunned silence, the two little red mirror dragons backed out of the den and took off down the tunnel, squeaking loudly. The broom that one had previously held was left discarded on the ground.
Now growing confused, Sky managed to push herself into a more upright position, head still hung low. Her body was stiff and achy. Her gaze flickered around the room, taking in the details. None of it looked familiar to the place she remembered. The walls were stone with spiderwebs of cracks. Vines seemed to the ceiling and top of the walls, with many multicolored flowers blooming on them. For a moment, she wondered how they could grow in a cave. She was also resting on a bed of little white flowers. When she sniffed them, they smelled faintly of vanilla. She also felt someone on her… And when she turned her head to look, she was subtly surprised.
There were flowers on her. Little flowers of deep blue and fiery orange dotted the edges of her wings, parts of her side, tail, and even her chest and head. And along with it, many little resting butterflies. She shook her head a bit and they wouldn’t seem to come of, as if they were attached. The only things that shifted were the bugs, whose wings fluttered a bit from Sky’s movements.
She sighed softly and looked back to the entrance of the den, where the two hatchlings had previously run out of. Now another new face was looking in at her, expression a mix of surprise and relief.
“My queen…” The large purple imperial said, head lowering into a bow. “You have awoken.”
