B I O G R A P H Y

The dragonet was in a blizzard. Newly hatched, he plunged through the snow. The wind whipped at his face, trying to blow him away. His weak legs crunched in the layers of ice and slush. He couldn´t take it. His growth cells froze inside of him. The few day old dragonet felt his organs slowly freezing together. He collapsed and closed his eyes when he saw a blue figure ahead of him.

He thought he was dead. Warmth surrounded his pelted scales. He creaked open one eye.
He was in a shabby log hut right next to a fireplace, laying on a polar bear rug that was slightly chilled. An ash popped into his eye and he stumbled back in surprise. The mantleplace was decorated with pink meteorite figurines, which he tilted his head at.
¨Glad to see that you´re awake!¨ a voice said behind him. The hatchling whirled around to find a blue spiral with a steampunk fashion styled set sitting in a rocking chair with a mug. She lifted up her copper and gold googles to reveal kind light green eyes. The gaoler bared his teeth, and the spiral laughed.
¨Lets see,"she said, getting up from her chair and placing her mug and blanket aside. She crouched down to be head to head with the dragon. ¨Do you have a name?¨
He cocked up an eyebrow at her.
¨Ahhh,¨ the spiral said. ¨Let´s call you... Nightfrost. Let me take you home.¨

Nightfrost and Stelvu (which the dragonet learned the spirals name) travelled to the reaches of the Starfall Isles. He was sent to school quite early, and he made lots of new friends. Every week they had to ask, ¨Where are our parents?¨ and he would never comment back. He lived with Stelvu as his parent and nothing more.

B I O G R A P H Y

As the dragons grew up around him, he still stayed small. He never felt like he was aging at all, except in maturity. What was his deal? Was he a runt? A mutation? He looked at his icy, never changing talons every day and thought, Whats wrong with me? He spent most of his time researching on Gaolers, but nothing about genetic mutations or what he was looking for came up.

One casual day, the streets came silent. But that was normal. He had lost every one of his friends because of his size. He was still a dragonet. He wanted to grow up already.
He decided he had enough. He ran on his little legs and burst into his foster mothers house.
¨Stelvu?¨ he said. Right as he said it, a familiar figure started walking downstairs, holding onto a black bar rail.
¨Yes, Nightfrost?¨
¨Where did you find me?¨ he asked in pinced politeness.
The spiral started counting on her fingers, as if she found multiple dragons like him. Was he even considered a dragon anymore? ¨I found you when you were very young out in the Southern Icefield while I was exploring. Why?¨
¨Haven´t you noticed I´m still-¨
A shriek came from outside. All of his manic energy was completely focused on that, then burst out the door with Stelvu.
Dragons were in the air, all of them Nightfrost didnt know. A row of dragons dropped flaming arrows and dynamite in the gallatic night sky.
¨We´re under attack!¨ the dragonet yelped, shaking the spirals arm.
¨Let me go round up everyone. Follow me!¨ the blue dragoness said, and she ascended to the air, with the goaler following close behind.
She flew rapidly in the air, trying to keep up. Soon, dragons were following behind them. He heard a fizzling sound, and he whipped his head right.
¨LOOK OUT!¨ he screamed. Something subconscious sparked inside of him, and he summoned the cold inside of him and released it onto the bomb.
The frost hit the bomb and it froze it under thick layers of ice, then plummeted towards the ground.

After the clan bombing (probably saving it) he had throngs of new friends to choose from. He was happy again. He played with the dragonets of his clan, watch them grow up and moved onto new ones. He was still looking for the answer of his eternal youth...
