___Before the formation of the Council the colony of Banescales were nesting to the south within the Great Furnace. The fateful day when Azazel's Legion claimed territory, the Banescales were forced to flee to the shadows up north. Not all of them made it and an unhatched egg was left behind. ___Borael, one of the Legion, took an egg as a trophy / fodder for the Legion. Azazel's Legion trained and raised the hatchling as one of their own. She was nicknamed "the Furnace," because of the intense heat that radiates from her vents. ___Life with the Legion was extremely difficult. Every moment was a fight or flight moment. Ifrit learned that the winner is always the last one standing. She learned to win the long-term battles and that the short-term ones don't mean anything. She also learned that being the first to strike had its advantages. ___The most difficult thing for Ifrit to learn though, was absolute loyalty and conformity. She always chose individuality and independence. |
___Despite her skill and prowess, Ifrit was "difficult." She always caused trouble, questioned authority, and lacked respect for others. After too many failed missions, she was exiled and on her way to serve the Flamecaller.
___Rather than serving a nation that she felt never had accepted her, she defected and migrated north where the shadows were. It was the perfect hiding place. She found footprints along the path, much like her own, deep in the hot solidified magma, and eventually, leading her to Obsidia. ___The Flamecaller was displeased, but intrigued by Ifrit's fiery nature. A Fire Sprite was sent to keep tabs on her. |

___She found a home with the dragons of Obsidia, although she will always mistrust any kind of authoritarian governing bodies, which was very much the Council. Nevertheless, she felt accepted by them. ___Ifrit was a candidate for joining the Council, but she rejected the idea of being a part of a governing body. Instead, she found her place on front lines, fighting many battles. It's all she ever knew. ___Still problematic was her inability to listen to authority. Until one day while patrolling the outlands, she found Raiju. Upon first encounter, She was approached from behind. Startled, they immediately went into battle. ___Ifrit instantly became the rival of Raiju. He kept up with her every strike and counterstrikes. Perhaps he was even faster than she was. All her frustrations and pent up rage slowly dissipated, as the battle prolonged. She was taken back to her childhood - training with focus toward one goal. She needed this. |
___Wherever Ifrit goes, a firestorm follows. The sudden intense heat surging from Ifrit's body, clash with the brisk evening air of the tangled woods, ushering whirlwinds and firestorms. Time in the Great Furnace has caused Ifrit to permanently produce high levels of heat. ___Ifrit and Raiju reside alone at the tower, due to the hazard their storms create. In addition to the storms they create, instances where the firestorms and thunderstorms collide create deadly arc flashes. |
