Biography
The Self-Proclaimed Nightstalker
Shadowfound's story began with her mother's tragic end. Wounded during her travels and weakened from laying an unexpected egg, the Skydancer was slain by members of the Beastclans before she could make it back to her clan and make a proper nest for the egg. This egg was taken by the Beastclans, and may have been broken or used for nefarious purposes had it not been for the intervention of a trio of unlikely rescuers. The High Prince Moonholder and his Guard were out patrolling when they happened to run into the Beasts who had Shadowfound's egg. The three were able to win the ensuing fight with only minor injuries, and upon inspecting the bodies of their foes, found an unhatched shadow egg. Though their flights were rivals, with the three being Light dragons, they could not leave an egg to fend for itself, and brought it back to the safety of the clan's territory.
Luckily, Shadowfound hatched healthy, with seemingly no harm coming from her egg's handling by the Beastclans. She was brought into the ranks of her new clan and fostered as one of their own, though with a bit of controversy. The High Princes' rivalry unfortunately reared its head in her coming to the clan, with High Prince Auryn using it as an excuse to butt heads with Moonholder. His reasoning was that the clan's own eggs had a high mortality rate, and it was irresponsible to bring in some stranger's egg, especially if they did not know for sure what had happened to its parents. Moonholder argued that if the egg was found with the Beastclans it was safe to assume what had happened to the parents, and that it would be more irresponsible to leave a child in the hands of the natural enemies of dragonkind. Auryn dropped the subject after this, and Shadowfound was able to be raised among the clan, though faces a bit of prejudice when dealing with members of the Court of Sun to this day. In turn, she is often rude and curt with them. As for the Court of Star, she considers Moonholder to be like a father or elder brother, calling his Guard her 'aunties'. Despite not being an official member of the Court, she has pledged her devotion to them, and works behind the scenes to protect them and the clan as a whole from threats, sometimes exacting her revenge on the Beastclans in the process. Moonholder is not entirely aware of this, and his original idea was for her to live safely among the clansfolk, though he does know she wants to be a warrior of sorts. Her ultimate goal is to become a dashing, rogue-like assassin and spy, but she has a long way to go when it comes to stealth if she is to ever reach that goal.
