While she might be the only foreign student within all of Siegfeld, Mei Fan has made a name for herself not for that reason, but for her overall passionate but welcoming personality and position as one of the top students in the school, as Frau Rubin. She can be stubborn and a bit oblivious at times, but she's also very genuine, her stubbornness especially arising from her choice to stand for what she cares about. Sometimes she doesn't quite understand when people are teasing her or she might miss a joke here and there, but she also learned the language from scratch, and her overall ability to understand everyone is actually very impressive. Some things just fly over her head like that. Considering her very open nature, she's by far the easiest Edel to genuinely befriend and get to fully know, although she can still be a bit much at times.
If anyone is good at making the other Edels rethink how they approach things, it's definitely Mei Fan. With her very forward way of going about things, she's great at helping others get their ideas moving, even if they're stuck... that is, until she gets stuck herself. While she might get upset if she can't decide what to do for a role and gets stuck on it for too long, the others are pretty good about reciprocating her help and getting her motivated again. After all, if the girl who sparks the passion of everyone else loses her own spark, you can't let her burn out.
