Biography
Don't believe their pretty lies. This is the truth. It might not be what you want, but it's real.

You don't remember the last time you truly felt safe. You'd been on the run for what seemed like forever - wanted for the crime of simply being cognizant of the real world, outside of the figment they called the grand city of Nova Variatis. It took years of planning to escape the virtual sandbox, heavily reinforced by guards and digital Hunters. Any thought of rebellion or retreat from the forced utopia ended in your very sudden and unexplained "disappearance".
Your head still pounding from the sudden emergence from the simulation - the first time you'd opened your eyes since you'd been born, you stalk the dark, barren landscape that sprawls before you. Is this really what you'd fought so hard to witness?
Broken grid-links and black metals scattered the ground, remnants of cities and streets loomed in the distance. Glowing fractions of crystals and scrapped electronics surged with unknown power, their force causing fragments to float mid-air. The sky was a dark purple haze, but if one looked close enough, they could see distant lights scattered in the endless void. Occasionally, a light would fall, crashing violently down, a new crystal taking place in the ground before eventually suspending itself in the air, like the others you'd seen.
Was anyone still alive out here? You knew nothing about The Rift - the outside world. Questions fill your mind, when you suddenly feel a hand on your shoulder. You brace for the worst, assuming the Hunters had finally caught up to you. You turn to face a tall figure, glowing eyes locked onto your own.
"You really shouldn't be here, stranger. To be in this place, is to be dead already. Come. It's been a long time since a new face showed itself."
