As I stare into the eye of the coming,
Apocalypse, I see them reaching for my soul.
I cannot erupt, I must control,
I cannot erupt, I must explode!
Funny how the mind tries to sink me deeper,
As the evil tries to turn me around.
I will not falter, shout at the devil,
As I bury them six foot underground.
The hours trapped in windowpane,
As it all locks me in chains,
The heartless ride and happy thoughts of this crumbling world.

Still, as she grew up, Lynx would grow into a hardy, rough and tough dragon. Despite having no memory of her death, she would not allow herself to live life lamenting about it, no. With the powers, magics, and other traits provided by her lineages, she makes her own life easier, and leans heavily into those things that make her special. She would eventually take up the life of a mercenary, her fighting prowess and necrotic plague magic making fighting for a living easy as can be. Not to mention, she loves the thrill of a good fight, and delights when an opponent is nearly equal to her in power. The closer a fight is to the death, the better.
Her screech of success, like the one of her mother, can be heard for miles, and should strike fear into the hearts of those who hear it. After all... you never know if you will be her next target.
Still, she takes up other jobs too. Escorts, treasure hunts, guarding... she doesn't mind those either- as long as you pay her good money to do so. Still, she is incredibly efficient, so a dragon who isn't as good at fighting or defending themselves can defintely rely on her to do the job for them perfectly.
Lynx is surprisingly close to Berk, the scholar. One can only wonder what those two are up to...

Lynx succumbed to the curse of her family very early indeed; she didn't even make it out of her egg before death claimed her, eggrot destroying the shell of the egg that kept her safe as she grew inside. She did not resurrect immediately either; Bramble and Breda thought that she would not come back, and thus buried her egg nearby the ground where they nested... only for one of her siblings to discover her clawing her way out of the living ground of the Scarred Wasteland, a Spioling Scorpio helping dig her out. The sign of a resurrected Memento Mori. Due her young age, she would not truly remember what death was like. Only impressions, feelings, echoes of shadows that would haunt her for the rest of her life. She suffered a lot of nightmares as a young hatchling, many of which her siblings would not grow to understand until the Memento curse caught up with them as well. |
