The deceiver, the magician, the trickster, Veilspuns were known to dragonkind by many names before they were discovered in the depths of the Tangled Woods. Mischief is their favourite pasttime, and Thry is no exception to that rule, having mastered the art of illusion and stealth with Shadow magic to pull off a variety of deeds. He is a pure Veilspun at heart with Shadow origins, so the question of how he ended up in the Currents curled up in a torpor in a storage room is a mystery to all but him.

Thry owes a heavy debt to Ronder and Kiseki for discovering and rescuing him before he passed from lack of sustenance, and so follows them and Coeus on their journey. The playful glint in his eyes and the snickers that trickle out from him help to break the stiff tension within the group when the going gets rough, and his nimble and agile body help to distract Wardens when there may be trouble, proving Thry to be a powerful ally.
