Shallowtide

Found by Seki during one of her digging expeditions around the shores of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, Shallowtide was brought under the protection of the clan until a parent or tutoring dragon could be identified. However, as time went on, it became apparent that this was not an ordinary lost hatchling.

For one thing, his pearl is far larger than any other pearlcatcher of his size, and has led Toby to hypothesize that the supposed hatchling has lived for longer than his appearance would indicate. Unfortunately, communication has proven to be quite a challenge, as Shallowtide does not seem to speak draconic, and hasn't really shown much interest in trying to be understood through gestures.

Fisher's Companion Trinkets Ridgeback dragons are known to string hooked feathers along nets and drag them through the water, gathering up hundreds of smaller fish while taking care not to fall in. 27

When the time comes to go fishing, though, Shallowtide is always the first one to beg the fishing party to take him with them. The little thing may not like fish, but he certainly enjoys the experience of catching fish.
