Ice

Walking through thick snow for hours on end was no new obstacle for Ice. He was used to the same endless forests and icy plains of the Icewarden’s lands. This was one of many weeklong trips through the Snowsquall Tundra for his clan. Ho had no warming clothes, just his own furs, yet he was fine, and felt fine.

His many years wandering the tundras and other icy lands froze him to the core. He wouldn’t show any emotion to other dragons, never relaxed from mapping, just focused on the task at hand. This is what got him to being such a great geographer, he would never stop until a map was perfectly accurate, which trained himself to having photographic memory. He would wander the land, go home, and sketch for days in his office, far from any civilization.

One day, an exceptionally large wolf had smelled Ice, and ambushed him. It chased him to the edge of a cliff in the east of the Frigid Floes. He flew off the edge to escape, and decided to take the opportunity to expand the map to the seas nearby. Ice overestimated the size of the ocean between the Icewarden’s land and the Windsinger’s land, and flew all the way to a new shore.

Tired from his trip, Ice took shelter in various clans, and being around other dragons made him grow a little kinder. One warm day, he walked upon a small, new clan up in the Zephyr Steppes, where he met a small skydancer who had no name. The hatchling reminded him of himself when he was smaller, so full of hope and admiration for those around him. Ice helped name the little hatchling Calypso, and afterwards, Calypso followed Ice around everywhere, asking to learn mapmaking. Ice allowed Calypso to become his apprentice, and as they spent more time together, with Ice practically raising little Calypso into adulthood, it melted Ice’s heart.

Ice never fully recovered from his condition that made him so cold physically, but he became much kinder to make up for his rudeness to others in his past. He now maps the Windswept Plateau with Calypso

Notes:
Ice is a geographer who has walked the icy tundra so long, before finding the clan, that he is always frozen cold. He wears warmer clothes to even his temperature better.
He has mapped out perfect topographical maps in blistering blizzards uncountable times, due to his impeccable eyesight and photographic memory.
