Jade

Jade is a very unique dragon, being the first artificial dragon. His body is made out of magic crystals and his wings are made of a special fiber that's slightly stronger than dragon wings. It is unknown who (or what) made him. He has the ability to shoot energy blasts from his mouth and raise the sharp crystals on the top layer of his body into an attack position, allowing him to perform a flying charge attack that cuts and shreds opponents to pieces. He calls this attack "Draco Buster". Nobody (not even him) knows how old he is, as he just kind of showed up in the community one day. He has a bad habit of recklessly starting fights so he can become stronger and more skilled. While he is a formidable opponent, his attacks leave him open and he doesn't seem to know what "defense" is. Whenever he is badly wounded in a fight, he returns to his nest and enters a coma-like state in which his body undergoes a self-regenerating process where missing or damaged crystals are replaced with new ones. The crystals his body is made out of are very mysterious and powerful, capable of reproducing themselves and absorbing energy. About 17% of the energy from attacks that hit them are absorbed, and the energy is stored in the crystals until they are either used for a charge attack or absorbed by Jade to fuel his energy-based attacks. These crystals have never been found anywhere other then on Jade, so they were most likely created with the purpose of making him. The defense these crystals provide more than make up for Jade's lack of defensive strategies. Without them, he wouldn't be nearly as strong as he is now and would most likely have died in combat due to taking too much damage. Jade is currently serving as an alchemist, roaming the land searching for ingredients and recipes for powerful potions.
