story.
Name Meaning: "Death" in ArabicA BloodMoon... Nothing good ever happens when the Blood Moon rises. Thana, the unfortunate Thana, was born when she shouldn't have. A small discarded egg, deemed dead upon being laid, and yet- when the Moon rose and bathed her cave in red, the small unseeming egg began to tremble, to rock gently back and forth, and eventually, to crack. The dragons that witnessed this "miracle" deemed it a curse. Her parents... Her parents were convinced to smash the egg before it could hatch. However... Thana whimpered, her ruby red eyes reflecting the Moon's glow as she stared up at her "parents", who stared back, claws poised to smash the egg and kill the hatchling- but she had hatched too fast for them to react. Screams erupted from the cave almost in unison, Thana's ears flicking upright in alarm before pinning down in fear, and the rest of the night became a blur to her young mind. Somehow, at some point, she was no longer inside the cave, breathing heavily and drenched in blood. Who's? She did not know. The young hatchling ran away under the Moonlight, bathed in a hundred shades of red. Nothing good ever hatches under a Blood Moon. Notes: - Her keel gene is weaponized: she can hurl the dagger-like scales at enemies with deadly precision - When Gwyllt and Apistos bicker, she ends up separating them. They won't admit it, but they fear her on the down-low - She'd be a barbarian in DnD classes - Capable of turning into a more wolf-like form at will, it resembling a Maned Wolf (which isn't even a wolf). - Njada had taken her in when she was still very young and afraid of herself and the world. She was also the one that named her, as if giving the terrible meaning of her name a new, beautiful form. She is extremely thankful. | ___ |
