Ilphaedris is a quiet, beautiful imperial who takes his job quite seriously. He knows what is dictated for him, and is satisfiedwith his place in destiny. Cortado doesn't quite understand his more philosphical nature, but is happy to support his friend and work partner's interests. While Ilphaedris would much rather prefer basking in a patch of sun, ruminating on the more philosphical sides of life, he diligently performs his day job as a bodyguard of the main family. The Tribe has grown larger, and the main family have become well-known in the local area. It is his duty to provide a gentle, public face, alongside some of the more chattier members. However, if things get tense, he can steer the family members to safety, while Cortado uses his bulk to shield any attacks. Ilphaedris has a tender love for a smaller coatl, who romanced him with delightful songs about the sun. He could sit and listen to her all day. Cortado can tell when his partner is thinking about her, as he is fond of pointing out when the lines around Ilph's face get soft. Cortado loves to see his partner happy,
