Ring the Jewelry Box Fae

Dragons Sornieth-wide love to decorate themselves in various types of apparel. One of the most eye-catching of accessories is, of course, jewelry. Precious stones and metals are mined, refined, and fashioned into beautiful necklaces, rings, bracelets, any shape of sparkling adornment a dragon could ever desire. Jewelry has been coveted as a sign of beauty and wealth for ages, as long as dragonkind can remember. But jewelry doesn't always remain jewelry.

It is a rare phenomenon that dates beyond the memory of any living dragon: every so often, a dragon will wake up and find that their jewelry has come to life.

One morning our old queen, Equinox, went to put on one of her rings, only to find this dragon in its place. Up untill then the jewelry box fae had only been a myth to her, but here one was, watching her with cyan eyes. At first he just kinda sat there, but Equinox believed every dragon had a purpose, and that being pretty was not all there was to this dragon. She learned very quickly that the Jewelry box fae had good ears, and a knack for writing, so he became the court scribe. After each meeting Equinox would find that Ring had written EVERYTHING he heard, including things he wasn’t supposed to hear. All the quiet criticism and muttered curses, he wrote it all. After one particularly loud meeting she truly learned to appreciate his skill, and his calm demeanor. He had written it all so she could finally understand what they were saying, yet he wrote it in a way that was was almost tranquil and would offend no advisor if she had to show it to them. Since then he has been present at all court meetings, and all royal functions, to scribe for the new royal families just as he did the old.
