Biography
Biscuit was made with careful talons. She and her two siblings sat on their father’s workbench, waiting to be stitched together. All the hand dyed, silk panels were lined up. They were to be stitched over the sturdier cotton. Biscuit only had one eye, but she was already happy. She could see her other eye being painted by her mother. Since the day she could see and feel, Biscuit knew she was loved.
As a young dragon, Biscuit was reckless. She had to be fixed many times, but she didn’t care. The great thing about being a fake dragon was that no matter how bad things got, she could always be fixed. The recklessness began when she was learning how to fly and one of her wings snagged on a branch. It tore off right at the joint, but her father sewed it back on. After many more incidents like that, Biscuit learned how to sew so she wouldn’t have to keep asking her father for help.
Biscuit also developed a love for baking and cooking. Being made of fabric made that a risk too. She preferred cooking over open flame and, if she had access to it, gas stoves. More than once, she caught herself on fire. It didn’t matter though. She just ordered new panels and replaced the burnt ones. Biscuit was basically invincible and she loved it.
When she eventually left home, she knew she wanted to go somewhere exciting. Not quite fire exciting; she didn’t want to be entirely burned to a crisp, but somewhere more exciting than nature. She was drawn to the arcane lands. They were so magically charged and beautiful. It was exactly the kind of place Biscuit belonged in.
