BIOGRAPHY

Eloril is known by many names, though many have just taken to calling her Lady Eloril- or Lady Elo for short. She occasionally gets the rare 'Old Lady Elo' from some of her more... sassy clan members and is often known among outsiders as The White Sage. Some other names she's heard through her years are 'Sage of the Glade', 'Spirit Seer', and 'Crane of the Veins'. Though she finds those titles to be silly and prefers not to acknowledge them.

Not much is known about Eloril’s past. She has no known family members and her oldest friend has only known her since the time of Clan Chaelystis’ formation. Many jokingly say she is a spirit that appeared within the chaos to create a sanctuary for dragons across the realm, but she’s as normal a dragon as they come… aside from her ability to speak with the spirits.

Eloril first formed Clan Chaelystis with the help of Sahir- a dragon she found as she passed the Everbloom Gardens. Sahir had been born there and was on a search to find a clan to call home as he never really had one.

At this time, Eloril was working towards forming a clan herself; she wanted a safe place for dragons to call home, but she had no dragons in tow. Many dragons preferred an already established clan with already claimed territory and so she was turned down by all she had extended her offer to. Sahir- the first to join her- was not deterred though. He saw potential in Eloril and agreed to help form the clan.

For a while, it was just Eloril and Sahir. They trekked the Viridian Labyrinth to find territory unclaimed by other dragons until they found land in the aqueducts of the Gladeveins. They set up and their journey to create a clan began.

Back in those days, Eloril was the main one to hunt and gather while Sahir set off in search of materials for shelter. In the deep lush of the Shrieking Wilds, she met Peaches. Peaches was a wandering merc who was sent on a mission to clear some of the feral beastclans that raided the forests. She had no home and relied on bounties to survive.

Eloril and Peaches became quick friends and Peaches agreed to hang around for a while- offering to hunt in Eloril’s stead. This was the turning point for the upcoming clan and from there, the family only grew. Slowly, lone dragons had wandered into their small territory and little by little, the clan grew.

Many of these dragons had been abandoned, their clans annihilated, or had run away from their pasts. Eloril, however, welcomed them with open arms. Soon, the recently named Clan Chaelystis became known as a sanctuary for wanderers.

Eloril was distraught with how many dragons had lost their homes, families, and friends to the effects of the dragon war. She vowed to make Clan Chaelystis a place where dragons could live, grow, and thrive without judgement, worry, or the demons of their past. A place that held no prejudice and no allegiance to any one deity- where all dragons who called the clan their home could just live peacefully.

POSSESSIONS

If there was one thing Eloril loves in the world, it's tea. While she firmly believes any type of tea is good tea, she is quite partial to Rose, Chamomile, and Green. She's also a bit of a snob when it comes to preparation and must have her tea follow a strict process. As of now, she only trusts one dragon with her tea preparation.

Some say Eloril wears her hat to look mysterious and keep up her stoic facade, but she really just doesn't like how her head feathers lay- she says they're 'too messy'. Plus, it keeps the sun out of her eyes...

Eloril's Runic Beads actually serve an important purpose. Older than one might assume, these beads help Eloril speak and interact with the spirits. While traditionally adorned with runes that symbolize the wearer's traits, her's are engraved with ancient runes from a time long since passed. After many years of attempting to find the translation, Eloril still doesn't know what they mean and has come to the acceptance that she may never find out.

FAMILIAR

The rumor that certain Vermilion Epiptite can speak and even grant wishes is well-known and though this rumor has been twisted and exaggerated, it still holds some truth; Ravana is one of those Epiptite. While not able to grant wishes and or speak as one would assume, these special Epiptites form a connection with dragons they deem worthy. This special connection allows the Epiptite and dragon to communicate- allowing the dragon to understand the Epiptite's hums and buzzes. Eloril uses Ravana to carry out many important tasks such as scouting, spying, and message delivering. Due to Ravana's small size and inconspicuous appearance, he is useful for sensitive matters.

PERSONALITY

Eloril is known by most for being a fairly nonchalant dragon. She is calm, calculating, level-headed, and dry of humor. However, she is also known for caring very deeply for her clan members. While seemingly cold, many consider Eloril as their saviour as she gives anyone the chance to prove themselves, no matter how questionable their past is. She believes no dragons are inherently evil or a lost cause and anyone can reshape their future despite their past- if they want to. Eloril has a knack for reading others and as long as they have even an inkling of desire to change, she welcomes them.

Despite being the leader, she is more of the overseer and the one the other dragons go to for advice- some might call her an elder more than a leader. She trusts her Council to make the best decisions for the clan and will only intervene when there is a dispute among members or when a greater threat looms…

RELATIONS

Having been fast friends, Peaches has known Eloril since the clan’s founding. Eloril rarely doubts Peaches and highly values her opinion. She also doesn’t mind just sitting down and catching up with her long-time friend who has been there since the beginning.

Lazulite is like Eloril’s attendant. She deals with many sensitive clan matters and is often the one who oversees negotiations between other clans, handles important documents, and other High Council duties. Eloril highly values Lazulite’s intelligence and her ability to see and sense upcoming events- even if only vaguely.

Sahir was the one who helped start Clan Chaelystis and will be the one there until the end. The bond runs deep between these two- so deep in fact that they have made a pact to be by each other’s side through thick and thin. Though not bound by blood, they are bound in spirit and Eloril would trust Sahir with her very life.
