Biography

Vertical banner of a burnt forest with embers on the ground. This build is for fighting in the coliseum without Eliminate. This build is available to borrow for curiosity's sake, not for efficient farming, as it is inferior to builds with Eliminate, plenty of which can be borrowed from the Lending Cycle. Sear is one of three Sedona dragons, and should be paired with Spidereyes and Brand as a farming team.

Scratch ..... Shred ..... Blazing Slash ..... Sap
There is no specific turn order for this build. Scratch, shred, and slash your enemies until they're all knocked out. Use Sap to heal when necessary. It takes a bit of experimenting to figure out the quickest combinations to use on enemies. Blazing Slash does double damage to Nature, Plague, and Ice enemies, but half damage to Earth and Fire enemies.
Clobber Clobber is rarely used in the vast majority of builds, because it costs 35 breath, no refund. So, for builds that use Eliminate, Clobber will always be an inferior choice. On dragons without Eliminate, however, Clobber is useful! Use Clobber against bosses, though just one per boss' turn, they don't stack, and the stun only lasts for one turn.
Considerations:
  • This build has mostly been offered to the Lending Cycle as a novelty build to experiment with, especially for those who are curious about the Sedona build or the use of Clobber. It is much slower than a build with Eliminate, and is not recommended for efficient grinding.
  • This build can farm in any venue. It is possible to have two Sedona dragons and a low-level trainee in the Boreal Woods & Crystal Pools. For the Golem Workshop & Forbidden Portal, it will be easier to use two Sedona dragons and a mage with Aid or Regeneration, and Rally. Have the mage go first so it can rally the two fighters.
  • If you need a mage, you may borrow Mia to accompany them.
  • The tooltip on Clobber has an error: The chance to stun is 100%, so the stun is actually guaranteed. (Alternatively, Clobber is currently broken and may get fixed to reflect its tooltip, but for now, this is how it works.)
  • This build was created when Eliminates were 700 gems each, and thus unobtainable for many players. While Eliminates are nowhere near those prices now, they're still not easy for the average new player to get, so training up your dragons with the Sedona build can work to help farm in the coliseum until you can get Eliminates.

  • He may be borrowed for up to 1 week. Message Ganondorf for an extension.
  • If you are going to be gone from the site for more than a day or two, please send Sear back before you go.
  • We ask you do not breed, tincture, or otherwise change Sear without asking Ganondorf first.

How can you tell when you like a particular aesthetic? How about when you unintentionally buy two dragons at two separate times, thinking, yeah, this is neat, and then realize you've managed to buy a father and son? This is what happened to Alphazi!

They bought Sear first, liking the look, and then later forgot he existed. Then they bought Brand, and checked out his unnamed offspring, to see whether the offspring might still get a name, when they noticed they owned one already. Well then.

And then later Brand and Sear were swept up in a lair purge, so I picked them up to share their amusing story. And to share them. And to agonize over Sear's outfit, because I can't make up my mind.

Sear's Travel Diary:
I like to record who my Lending Dragons have visited, to see who is requested most often, and add to their history. Feel free to add a line about Sear's stay with you! If not, no worries, I will make a generic line for you.
