Cyberspace

Cyberspace was hatched as a consciousness from the hivemind. However, a this clan of dragons picked him up while he was young, so he was never close enough to any other hivemind dragons to communicate with them.


Those who soon realized he was a hivemind dragon were split between whether to raise him as a normal dragon and hope for the best or to call the order of the Gaolers to handle him. Those who wanted to keep him safe tried their best to hide him, but there plan was not exactly a success.

The Icewarden lived here in secret anyways to keep tabs on this town as enough weird stuff happens he decided that it was a smart idea, so he soon figured out about the hivemind dragon being hidden here. At the time, his cover was being a plague dragon named Anivia. He wanted to just call the Gaolers to deal with the hivemind dragon, but was also monitoring other, uh, situations, here so he decided to sneak around and deal with the issue himself. Anivia was already a trusted member of the clan so he convinced those hiding Cyberspace that he was there to help the hatchling.

After infiltrating the cozy cabin where they had hidden him, he determined the young consciousness was not an immediate threat and chose to study him to better understand how to defeat adult hivemind dragons and large hives. The icewarden learned a lot about hivemind behaviour, and wanted the Arcanist to come study him too, but the arcanist was being an annoying relative who refused to pretend to be a normal dragon so the icewarden couldn't tell him where the hatchling was as the rest of the dragons would obviously figure out something was up the moment they saw a deity flying around.

Word soon got around that the dragons who wanted to call the Gaolers were already sending messages to the Gaoler order. The icewarden decided calling letting the Gaolers know would be unlikely to be in his best interest, so instead posed as a seeker gaoler named Dusk. He would sneak out of the cabin at night and intercept the courier dragons and take the letters, write a response, then tell the courier to send the response to the original sender. the couriers did not like this. Due to his previous correspondences with those at the fortress of ends the knew his secret (though they never told him this). Despite usually not wanting to interact with deities, they already were having to deal with one of them so they went and ratted him out to the Windsinger for messing with dragon's mail. The Windsinger then told the Arcanist because he knew that the Arcanist was the only other deity who might be able to convince the Icewarden to not do something he shouldn't.

Unfortunately, by this point the Arcanist was so entrenched in figuring out where this hivemind hatchling was just for the sake of knowing, that the Arcanist told the icewarden that he would tell windsinger and the couriers that the Icewarden had stopped messing with mail and wasn't going to again if the icewarden would just tell him where the hatchling was. The Icewarden rolled his eyes and told the arcanist about the cabin but also said he better not show up there unless he knew no dragons were in the area to observe him.

With this, the Icewarden knew that if he wanted to continue to keep the hatchling a secret, he would need a new cover. he knew that Changing his appearance to that of a new dragon and not simply between Anivia and Icewarden would require significant effort, but he had decided that this was worth it. He was learning much about the hivemind, and may have also started to like the hatchling a little bit.



He switched to being a purple gaoler decided to keep the hatcling safe and raised the hatchling and taught him how to be good. Splash and marble and a few others figured out he was the icewarden but really did not care because he was not doing anything except protect cyber. but then cyber turned bad because a more powerful hivemind being took over his mind so then he was a bad guy and icewarden was sad and dissapointed. But he believed cyber would never do those things at heart but also kind of doubted himself. But then Xenon (and uhoh) made this hivemind cure in an alchemy pot which cyber found out about and wanted to rid of. Dusk kidnapped cyber saying he was gonna imprison him but then tossed him in the alchemy pot and pretended it was an accident. Oopsy. Marble was ****** and tried to kill Cyber even though he was (mostly, like 99 percent) cured, but dusk accidentally broke the chain holding cyber and cyber ran off. OOPSY. So then marble was really mad and got into a fight with dusk. Dusk won because he was the icewarden. He then decided to gather some things and leave to find Cyber, but marble showed up with a spell book splash got from the arcanist a long time ago and used it to imprison icewarden in Dusks body with primarily he plague magic, but also magic from the other elements (he had to trick 10 dragons into helping him). He did this from afar so dusk couldn't see him, but dusk very easily inffered who did it based on the fact the primary magic used was plague and that marble was likely still angry.. He didn't have proof though so he was just silently boiling anger. Plus now he was not able to use his full icewarden power so he couldn't really do anything about it anyways, as the only dragons who knew he was the icewarden were angry with him. So he gathered his things, bought some wears, and headed off to find cyber.


He ran into the shade hiding as a harpy pirate. Shade knew who he was, Icewarden knew who Shade was because he could sense the (lack of) magical energies, but both were in a similar situation of not being able to use their full power so were essentially at a stalemate and basically could just growl at each other for existing. Icewarden ended up on Shade's ship because Shade's pirate crew wanted to rob him, but he managed to convince Shade that if Shade told him where to find Cyber he would not come after Shade once he was back to normal (he had not yet determined whether or not he was going to hold up to his end of this agreement). Shade herself did not exactly know, but did her best to help because she really did not want icewarden after her as if he was back to full power before her, she would be nearly powerless against him. Cyber's location was narrowed down to likely either being in wind or nature. Icewarden correctly inferred wind as it was closer to ice and Cyber had also been there many times before.

Icewarden found cyber near the border of wind and fire. Both explained to each other their individual situations, and decided to best plan was to find somewhere to hide out where nobody from their pasts could find them until they had figured out a way for neither of them to get killed.
