Alleghany

Poor Alle was in such a state when I saw him in the auction house. From afar, his striking pattern was lovely, but when I looked in closer to see what he was like, I found a half-starving and near inconsolable wreck. Despite his small size, the shivering thing was surprisingly heavy: a fact I first noticed when he immediately tried to bundle himself up in my arms. One hundred and twenty pounds of frantically quaking dragon is not that easy to carry. Somehow, though, we made it home in one piece.

For now, I'm letting him recover from his trials with Aristophanes, who seems to have taken a fraternal liking to the young thing. I also let him have his pick of our available familiars. Imagine my surprise when he chose the Bonepriest. Well, at least they look good together.

UPDATE: Alleghanny has found a mate! Skuld beaned him over the head with a rock, and they've been sweethearts ever since. Their children are SO sweet, and Skuld is so good about helping him overcome his shyness. He still remains cloistered with Aristophanes and Moonglow in his free time, though. I wonder what they talk about.
