Asinis growled at the Rayseeker leader. "Your sympathy makes you soft. Your grief makes you weak!" He firmly held Raijou's neck under his talon, a thin stream of bright red blood flowing out from under one of his claws. "How can you be a leader," Raijou wheezed, "if you can barely be considered a creature?" Asinis lowered his head, baring his teeth. "If you will not fight for them, you fight against them." he snarled. "If you run now, you will be free. If you prove your cowardice now, you will live. But if you stay, you will fight for the clan, not for your life. If you stay, you will die." he growled. "I will fight to protect my clan, even if it costs me my life. Never have I doubted that." Raijou growled faintly, running out of breath. Asinis lifted his talon off of Raijou's neck. "Only one thing stands between us and the largest hunting grounds before the Viridian Labyrinth." He turned his head toward the river and the forest. "We attack at dusk tonight."
