About

Unlike his older brother Hiraeth, Exulansis was never a member of the Seeker Order. Instead, he was a Sentry, dedicated to guarding the perimeter of a small prison. His plans were never to leave the Southern Icefield, and indeed he would have spent his whole life there had his brother not disappeared. Hiraeth had left to go search for their parents, and although Exulansis wasn't expecting him to write or anything he was at least hoping for some sort of confirmation of his brother's safety every now and then. Years went by with no contact, however, and eventually Exulansis began to worry. His parents had disappeared, and now his brother seemed to have vanished while searching for them - definitely cause for concern. So, for the first time, Exulansis left the Southern Icefield and set out to find his brother.

Exulansis put up quite a fight when he was captured by the Carnage-Ichors, enough to leave vicious scars on more than a few of them. Ultimately, however, he lost the battle and was hauled off to a nearby prison, where he was subjected to a series of horrific experiments. He refused to let himself be broken, however, and after only a short while he managed to break himself out. He searched the prison, dodging guards and clinging to the darkest shadows, but was unable to find any sign of his brother. He'd heard about other prisons elsewhere in the Scarred Wasteland, however; perhaps Hiraeth was being held in one of those.

A Carnage-Ichor guard saw him as he made his final escape, however, and gave chase, pursuing Exulansis across the wasteland. Exulansis managed to lose his pursuer after three straight days, and then he collapsed, exhausted by the ordeal. He'd made it to the edge of a small clan's territory, however, and when he woke up he found himself in their lair, laying in a comfortable nest. Their kindness reminded him that the Plague domain was home to good, upright dragons in addition to the brutal Carnage-Ichors, and this reminder in turn gave him hope that he could find his brother.

In a particularly lucky twist of fate, the clan that had taken Exulansis in was allied with a Light clan that had recently adopted a mysterious new gaoler into its ranks - one who looked very similar to Exulansis. They escorted him to this clan's lair and explained that he was looking for his brother, and, to the joy of everyone involved, Hiraeth was indeed the Light clan's new member. The two brothers were reunited at last. Now Exulansis is determined to shut down the Plaguebringer's prisons once and for all - and he's willing to do anything to achieve that goal.
