Veilspun had kept themselves hidden from the world, swallowed by the darkness of Wispwillow Grove inside the domain of their founder, the Shadowbinder. Zack was one such dragon among them. He cultivated his ability in alchemy day by day until he'd learned the techniques of those before and around him. He needed something more. To pursue alchemy is to pursue knowledge and he needed to journey into the beyond to further his knowledge. Once the Veilspun revealed themselves, Zack took to the skies intent on finding himself a new home with a bountiful well of knowledge and a need for his skills. Zack found such a place among the Gale Rain Clan, hidden in the skies on a turtle-shaped island. It reminded him a little of where he came from, isolated from the masses of Sorneith but closer to the sun. However, from here he still had limitless access to the tools he needed. Zack may be small, but he was a force to be reckoned with. His potions were of a matchless standard and his skills rocketed him straight into the position of Clan Alchemist.

Despite the nature of trickery associated with his species, Zack had no interest in such mischief. Naturally, he was well versed in the hypnotic dance of the Veilspun, as were they all, but he never used it for silly pranks or anything of malicious intent. In his eyes, such things were below him. The cruel streak that could be found in many of his ancestors remained dormant in Zack. However, though he had no perchance for trickery, he found sanctuary in illusions but used them sparingly - usually only in situations endangering somebody's safety. Gale Rain Clan considers Zack a wonderful member, embracing him and his talents in a place he never desires to leave.
