Tsubasa

A pale-feathered Coatl that has never jived with his own kind. He spent countless years hoping a flock would take him in, yet even when they overlooked his coloration, he never seemed to belong with them. He always found them excessively vain, and never understood why the coloration he was born with was so hated. He had no control over how he was born, and no control over the clan he ended up in in the first place. Tsubasa has never known his true parents and throughout his childhood traveled between flights hoping for his forever home. While his age was enough to elicit sympathy, there was only so much time his more colorfully-feathered brethren would accept him.

That was, until a small clan of fae and veilspun happened upon the young dragon. They had seen the distraught Tsubasa wandering across their stretch of the Starwood Strand, concerning and offered to look after him. Tsubasa was understandably reluctant. He had been rejected so many times that he was beginning to wonder not only if he would ever have a family, but if he himself was the problem. Though he feared rejection, especially when he struggled to understand the fae dialect, he felt he hadn't much choice. The fae leader of the clan understood his concerns, and for this reason chose a family for him that he thought would look after him as one of their own. A pair of protective and passionate Veilspun battlemages known for adopting the clan's orphaned unhatched eggs were assigned and happy to take him in. Tsubasa was now surrounded by a swarm of tiny and energetic siblings. They all seemed to be absolutely fascinated with both a new member of the family and species they had never seen. And not one of them saw him as different. With the carapace lining his body, thin slits of insect wings, and glowworm like tail, he was one of them. Tsubasa himself had also never seen dragons with those traits. Somehow, he already felt closer to them than those of his own kind.

This was only strengthened when he met his adoptive sibling Eirwin. Tsubasa had always shown natural talent in using his abilities, and this was enough to inspire Eirwin to be just like him. While Eirwin's powers could never stand up to Tsubasa's, they grew quite adept at adapting his sibling's techniques to supplement their combat prowess. Another new sensation to Eirwen- he'd never experienced anyone wanting to be like him. While Eirwin had ability, it truly blossomed when they began to take it on with Tsubasa. Tsubasa finally feels accepted and part of a family and takes upon their customs with their two siblings. He both keeps insects and wears the traditional shed carpace armor of his clan to show his love. Adventuring is seen as one of the hardest and highest professions in their clans. They took it upon themselves to aquire rare relics for the clan, fend off dangerous clans, slay beasts, and tend to the needs of their people. He, Eirwen, and their sibling/friend have decided to take up the position. They do not technically belong to Shamira's clan, but are the ambassadors to their clan and their insect-esque arcane clan. They are always happy to help with their needs, and have been paid out on many occasions to do so. They first were introduced to the clan when they saw them struggling with an aggressive hydra and rushed to fight them. However, they were stunned when the clan's beastclan allies diffused the situation through diplomacy. In awe of what occurred, the three adventurers were more than willing to offer their respect and alliance with Shamira, which she accepted.
