Biography

Vertical banner of a tree in a forest with water at its base. This build is for fighting in the coliseum without Eliminate. This build is available to borrow for curiosity's sake, not for efficient farming, as it is inferior to builds with Eliminate, plenty of which can be borrowed from the Lending Cycle. Spidereyes is one of three Sedona dragons, and should be paired with Brand and Sear as a farming team.
Scratch ..... Shred ..... Jungle Slash ..... Sap
There is no specific turn order for this build. Scratch, shred, and slash your enemies until they're all knocked out. Use Sap to heal when necessary. It takes a bit of experimenting to figure out the quickest combinations to use on enemies. Jungle slash does double damage to Arcane, Light, and Earth enemies, but half damage to Fire and Nature enemies.
Clobber Clobber is rarely used in the vast majority of builds, because it costs 35 breath, no refund. So, for builds that use Eliminate, Clobber will always be an inferior choice. On dragons without Eliminate, however, Clobber is useful! Use Clobber against bosses, though just one per boss' turn, they don't stack, and the stun only lasts for one turn.
Considerations:
  • This build has mostly been offered to the Lending Cycle as a novelty build to experiment with, especially for those who are curious about the Sedona build or the use of Clobber. It is much slower than a build with Eliminate, and is not recommended for efficient grinding.
  • This build can farm in any venue. It is possible to have two Sedona dragons and a low-level trainee in the Boreal Woods & Crystal Pools. For the Golem Workshop & Forbidden Portal, it will be easier to use two Sedona dragons and a mage with Aid or Regeneration, and Rally. Have the mage go first so it can rally the two fighters.
  • If you need a mage, you may borrow Mia to accompany them.
  • The tooltip on Clobber has an error: The chance to stun is 100%, so the stun is actually guaranteed. (Alternatively, Clobber is currently broken and may get fixed to reflect its tooltip, but for now, this is how it works.)
  • This build was created when Eliminates were 700 gems each, and thus unobtainable for many players. While Eliminates are nowhere near those prices now, they're still not easy for the average new player to get, so training up your dragons with the Sedona build can work to help farm in the coliseum until you can get Eliminates.

Banner with gold-orange text and a headshot of a green snapper dragon. The text reads: Nature's Lending Cycle: level exalt fodder, collect festival loot, try a new build, train your own team. Spidereyes belongs to Ganondorf and may be borrowed through the Lending Cycle!
  • He may be borrowed for up to 1 week. Message Ganondorf for an extension.
  • If you are going to be gone from the site for more than a day or two, please send Spidereyes back before you go.
  • We ask you do not breed, tincture, or otherwise change Spidereyes without asking Ganondorf first.

It is extremely rare that I ever keep rejects & parents I no longer need from my endless breeding projects, no matter how pretty. Occasionally, I'll keep a breeding pair for the purpose of making the combination accessible in the future, but prior to Spidereyes and Manyeyes, the only non-paired dragon I've ever kept was Cloak, the first nice primal I've hatched from my own nests.

I've had special-eyed duos from projects before, but those were usually much nicer, and sold easily as a pair, so I let them go. These two, however... being nearly identical (despite 1 in 168 to get a clone from Spidereyes & Obscurity not factoring in eyes), they were also equally hideous, and hard to sell, but I didn't want to split them up. So... they sat collecting dust next to the cats in my den for a bit, before I had them join the cats as lenders too.

I initially tried to work with their genes & colours, but just couldn't make a look I liked, so, unfortunately, their identical specialness is hidden beneath skins. I have instead resorted to making "contrasting but similar" outfits for them to still match each other.
