Aeneas' egg may have been hatched in the Ashfall Wastes, but he has always looked towards Ice as his element.

He taught himself how to survive blizzards, how to live in extremely cold conditions, but most importantly to him, Ice magic. Aeneas can still cast a few Fire spells but he rarely does due to his Ice alignment.

Many dragons of his Clan thought he wouldn't be able to maintain such a balance, but he was the first dragon to prove you can switch your elemental alignment from the one you were born of.

Clan Overview
At first glance, Aeneas just seems like the classic Ice dragon - doesn't like the cold, hates the heat with all of their life force, likes flying in the snow - and also a bit headstrong and battle-hungry. But some dragons who are closer to him realize he's more than that - he seems to be a bit odd around the cold, like he doesn't dare even touch the heat, and this is because he's worried about losing his ice magic, forever. Some dragons question his trips to the Southern Icefield, though he just explains loosely that he 'enjoys watching the snow'.

Lore
Aeneas is far from calm or reserved, tending to be headstrong and outgoing. He will always stand up for what he believes in, no matter what it costs. Sometimes this lands him into trouble, however, and he’s had many near-death experiences. He often tells of a time he nearly drowned in frigid waters, trying to save an egg that fell in. Or the time where he was pushed off a ravine in his sleep, waking up just in time to save himself from hitting the bottom. That was an event Aeneas would never forget, and he avoided ravines whenever possible now. Sometimes his experiences are so outrageous that most dragons don’t see how they could possibly be true, but Aeneas almost never lies. He is guilty of stretching the truth on occasions, though.

Aeneas loves to fight, using his ice spells to freeze his opponents. He rarely uses his fire magic, so he isn’t mistaken for a fire dragon. He will use the flames in an emergency or against an ice-resistant opponent, however. Aeneas’s hunting skills are also quite sharp, due to what he went through to become an Ice dragon and the fact that some of his clanmates shunned him, thinking he was crazy or stupid for the idea he could change his alignment. Even when there were no spoils left for Aeneas, he always managed to find some food to scrape by.

During Aeneas’s initial time in the Southern Icefield, he struggled greatly. Even though he had his fire to keep warm, and strong swimming skills he built up in preparation for his journey, the cold had weakened his powers until they were practically useless. He had to find another way to channel his magic, and so began the transformation of fire spells to ice. Eventually, he gained mastery of his newfound ice magic. Instead of his fire magic turning to ice spells when he was too cold, he could control which type he used at will. Aeneas’s eyes also slowly turned a blue-white colour over time, confirming a change of his elemental alignment when it finally stopped.

Despite the fact that Aeneas is an ice dragon now, he still trains daily, reinforcing his ice powers in fear of losing them one day. He also makes frequent visits to the Southern Icefield, to train in the cold and visit old friends he made during his quest. Not to mention confront old enemies, and he made a lot more enemies than allies.

Aeneas is rarely scared or nervous, but when he is, he often casts fire magic instead of frost by accident. This has surprised many dragons who didn’t know that Aeneas was originally fire-aligned. Thankfully, this doesn’t often happen due to Aeneas’s outgoing nature.

Frost is a dragon that Aeneas looks up to, even though he’s not usually one to admire flight representatives. Frost is an exception, being a master of ice casting. Aeneas wants to learn all he can from her, but he would feel bad bothering such a proud and popular figure. Instead, he just watches her from the sidelines, studying her craft carefully but casually.

Aeneas isn’t without his faults, despite the fact that he seems to be. He tends to over-exaggerate when telling of his adventures, though he doesn’t realise. He never outright lies though, as he has a rather strict moral code he tries to adhere to. He’s also pretty bad at climbing, despite his skill at swimming. He tends to stay away from the Cloudscape Crags and the Fortress of Ends for this reason. Some have joked that he should have become a water dragon instead of an ice dragon, to the annoyance of Aeneas. His talkativeness also pushes some people away, though thankfully it’s also made him plenty of friends.

Tired after a day of searching and eyes alert for Halloween lights, Aeneas spots a glow in the distance. He flies towards it and lands not-so-gracefully.
"Hello!" he calls. "My name is Aeneas and uhh- trick or treat!"
Aeneas waves, being careful not to spill the basket of overflowing treats in is hands.
