Rue
"Do you feel it, Alark? The Wind is as excited as a youth," Rue hummed. "There could not be a better day for traveling."

"You know I've never had a knack for it before, my Rue." The great obelisk replied.

"Try anyway," He murmured, closing his eyes contentedly. Alark huffed, disturbing the tassels on the smaller dragon's shawl and shook her head. But she smiled despite herself and closed her eyes, focusing on the feeling of the wind brushing through her mane and along her wings.

There, for just a moment. The air twisted around her playfully, and she heard faint, distant laughter. She breathed out deeply and laughed herself. She opened her eyes and found Rue studying her.

"And?" He prompted gently. She smiled widely. "I heard its voice," she murmured. Rue returned the smile and opened his feathered wings.

"Then let us not ignore its calls," He leapt into the sky, spinning and spiraling in the Wind's caress. A moment later Alark roared happily and joined him.

mapmaker, well traveled and quietly wise. not much of an alchemist, but he is invaluable in that he directs where they travel and is great at strategy, which helps when they are set upon by beastclans or aggressive bands of dragons on the road.
