Could be a good lore point.
He finds an injured one deep into his garden.
It's wary of him, but his quiet demeanor, and consistency eventually win it over.
It then becomes his best friend/protector, soon taking as much interest in the roses as Chase does.


A quiet derg who tends to a garden of roses.











He takes good care of them, even going so far as to get special fertilizer for them.

A mundane task for most, but daunting for smaller breeds unless bags are spelled for easier carrying, or a bigger derg is there to help them.

The spells last for a bit, so he can put them down when he needs to.

Recently he was also given a wagon so that it was easier on him, especially if the bags were accidentally not spelled.

Only the best for his roses, he really cares for them, and it shows.

His roses have won a lot of blue ribbons.

Dergs in the area are nice, so they leave his flowers alone.

Anyone is welcome to spend time in his garden, reading, painting, having drink parties, book clubs, hanging with friends, anything goes as long as his flowers are untouched.
