Biography
Looks like this weary traveler wandered a little too far from his home lair (563648 | HylianPharaoh), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could return him to the home lair(which is happy to send a different dragon to exalt your way), or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. He would be very grateful!

Story:
Sunrise was happy to finally be leaving the village.
Though no dragon had been particularly cruel to him there, misfortune seemed to catch and cling like burrs in his coat, from the fire that razed his tavern, to the disappearance of his mate the day a circus arrived in the fields by the Millmeadows.
He dug his claws into the dirt at his feet. Both tragedies occurred over there years ago. There was no point in dwelling on the black memories.
A warm wind picked up and he lifted his wings, stretching his stiff joints wide in the pink dawn light.
He brought them down, feathers and leathery skin pressing on the air beneath him once, twice, thrice, and he was in the air, catching the gale and soaring up and away towards better tomorrows.
Perhaps some day he would return and face the ghosts that waited for him in the village, but only time would tell of he would indeed lay his eyes on the familiar fields of home once again.
-HylianPharaoh
Sunrise cast a dim shadow along the fetid ground as he walked into the town.
His throat was dry with fear as the ground under him rumbled. Electricity jumped from pylon to pylon in the background.
This place was not for him.
The residents were friendly enough, but Sunrise felt uneasy.
It’s like he could see ghosts moving in the fog.
Several eyes blinked in the mist. Caramelldansen? Was that her? He flew across the town as fast as he could, but he simply ended up in the wasteland. Alone.
-Strangeflesh
Turns out, he was following a red herring. That which he thought could be his love was not. Simply another tundra that led him to a new clan.
Surana and her band of hatchlings; She looked just similar enough from far away. It hurt. Grief pierced his heart as he followed her and the hatchlings. If anything, he could rest with them before he continued.
And maybe, be comforted by the familiar appearance. If only just for a bit.

Sunrise wasn't sure that he'd quite grasped the ocean metaphor, but somehow he did feel a sense of calm as he flew over the wide seas. He watched the sun's light penetrate the water, disappearing into the depths.
He found shelter with a local clan in the Sunbeam Ruins. They were warm and welcoming, and the sounds of playful hatchlings caught his attention. He thought of his own youngest hatchlings, Cobbler and CherryPie, and wondered what they were doing these days.
But these thoughts brought him once more to thoughts of his beloved. Would he really never see her again? Part of him wanted to be able to forget so that he could be free of this pain, but he also chastised himself for even daring to think of it. For erasing memories of their time together would also erase all the joy and pleasure that he'd had. It was those memories that kept him searching, kept hope alive. He would find her. He had to.
After staying a few nights with his hosts, Sunrise once more took flight.
