Biography
Franz Liszt
Your dolce Sheep Lizst grew up with numerous sheeps, which contributed to his sheep-like character - sweet, meek and harmless. However he lived a miserable life when he was young. He was isolated from his peers, doing piano and magic spells practice all day long so that he was unable to have any friend. Even when he reached his adulthood he always suffered from claustrophobia. As everyone knows, Liszt received piano lessons from Czerny and developed his virtuosity of performance. He also studied composition with Antonia, who was the Hofkapellmeister of HRE as well as the spouse of emperor Joseph II. Another important skill that Antonia taught him was how to combine magic power with the inside meaning of music. |
In his younger days, Liszt was totally absorbed in piano. As he said: My piano is to me what his frigate is to the sailor, his horse to the Arab, nay even more, till now it has been myself, my speech, my life. It is the repository of all that stirred my nature in the passionate days of my youth. I confided to it all my desires, my dreams, my joys, and my sorrows. Its strings vibrated to my emotions, and its keys obeyed my every caprice.
It encompasses the entire range of an orchestra within the limits of its seven octaves, and the ten fingers on a human hand are adequate to reproduce the harmonies that originate throughout the society of hundreds of musicians. Through its mediation it is possible to disseminate works that otherwise would remain unknown because of difficulties in assembling together an orchestra. Therefore, it is the orchestral composition that the artist duplicates and conveys, like the dye stamp of a painter. Even though it is spared of color, it is still capable of rendering light and shadows.
Liszt was such a successful pianist that fans wore Liszt's image on cameos and brooches, fought to collect the dregs of his coffee cup, tore his handkerchiefs and gloves to shreds, wore his cigar butts in diamond-encrusted lockets, turned his discarded piano wires into bracelets. when the concert hall emptied, all the piano keys and seating were missing. Took souvenirs of Franz Liszt. On his feast day and on his birthday, the offerings of flowers accumulated to such an extent that several rooms had to be used to find place for them.
As a prolific composer Liszt is best known for his piano music, especially the 12 Etudes. Liszt's original idea was to adopt 24 études, one in each of the 24 major and minor keys. He completed only half of this project because these kids were so naughty and full of energy, thus being too difficult for him to deal with.
Liszt also wrote for orchestra, sacred works, chamber music and songs. All these pieces were combined with elemental power and later given to the dragons he adopted in order to accompany him on his concert tours.

These children were devoted and reliable.Though they couldn't help with the unhealthy lifestyle that Liszt acquire during his difficult young days. So things still keep moving forward Like that-Franz Liszt, piano virtuoso, played exhilaratingly, 'broke three strings on one note', and then retired to nest, ill.
Liszt gradually came into contact with many of other composers and authors, including Hugo, Lamratine, Chopin, and one of his best friends: Berlioz. He met Berlioz the day before the premiere of the latter’s Symphonie fantastique. Liszt was fully obsessed with that symphony and the idea of program music. He also inherited from Berlioz the diabolic quality of many of his works. Liszt frequently collaborated with Berlioz in giving concert in which he would play the piano and Berlioz show up as the conductor.
As to the noble-minded Liszt, there is no word to praise him too highly. He was the most noble-minded dragon you can imagine: he had a heart for everyone. He gave advice to poor musicians and magicians who had not a great horizon before them to help them on, even to that extent, and he would have gone through fire and water to help them.
When Liszt made the acquaintance of a strikingly handsome and interesting young Imperial Felix Lichnowsky the famous musician took a tremendous fancy to him. In a very few days they were as inseparable as Castor and Pollux. Liszt took the huge young guy with him to everywhere.
Every time Liszt finished giving a concert, he was driven out of the city in a coach drawn by six white horses. Thirty other coaches followed in stately procession. Prince Felix von Lichnowsky flew at Liszt's side as his aide-de-camp.
