» Jophiel's Haunted Hatchery
Jophiel looked up from the bottom of the Reedcleft Ascent, getting ready to start the Ascent. He was alone, and he knew that he wasn't supposed to be but he felt that he was ready. And it's not like he had anyone that could watch him, everyone was busy. But that was okay because he would do the ascent and he would succeed. He knew it. He readied himself, spread his wings and jumped. "This is easy," he thought to himself, pushing up higher. But then, a stray gust of wind hit him, throwing him off balance, and he caught himself. As he pushed higher and higher, the winds became stronger and stronger. Until he grew too exhausted to keep up so he let go. He fell down, down, all the way down past the winds guarding the Singer's Brook and into one of the streams. When he awoke it was dark, so dark he couldn't see anything past his glowing mane. In fact, the closer he looked, the more he realized that everything was glowing which was incredibly odd. He heard the water from the streams bubbling down and began to recognize his surroundings. The sun was starting to peak over the trees, confirming his suspicions as the Singer's Brook came into view. But everything processed brighter, everything had a glow to it that he didn't quite understand. He walked over to the water, peaking into the clear stream to find... that his eyes were glowing. In fact, his whole body had a sheen on it, a shiny glassy look. He was taken aback and fell over in shock. "How... how is this possible?" he wondered to himself as he stared up at the bright glowing sky. "What happened to me...?" he thought, fearing the worst. He knew something must have dramatically changed him for him to glow so and for his eyes to see everything in the glow that they were. The fall he had must have... "I died."

Jophiel began to wander around after his internal crisis. He wanted to get to the Zephyr Steppes just to get out of Singer's Brook and find his family. The further and further he walked, however, he realized it was getting harder to take the next step. As he got to the edge, he tried to move and... couldn't. He continued to try and each time he was unable to move, like he was trapped. After about 10 minutes he took a deep breath, accepting his fate and turned around, following the stream back. He began building himself a shelter out of the nearby bamboo, creating himself a little space to exist in. A few dragons had passed by through his time, some helping him build and some there just for conversation or trade. One of the dragons he encountered traded him a cake slice and he fell in love with them. He wanted to make his own treats and found the ingredients for them and he got a few simple treats made, which dragons tried and liked them. These two dragons, Cassius and Clementine, offered to help him make treats for lodging and he agreed. They made the famous Cotton Candy Ice Cream Cake which was an absolute hit among dragons that came around. So, other baker dragons came in to help start the bakery up and they eventually had enough money to upgrade his home into a bakery. He built even more and even more dragons came to share their recipes with him, creating Jophiel's Haunted Hatchery.

Aether had heard of the lovely little bakery within Singer's Brook in the Wind Flight and he made it his goal to go and become a baker there. He made the long journey from the Shrieking Wilds, stopping at rests stops when he needed to. When he finally got to the Windswept Plateau, he could hardly contain his excitement and accidentally flew into another Vielspun. They both fell onto a tall bamboo shoot, and he was stumbling in his apologies and words but she was just laughing. They exchanged formalities and realized they were heading to the same shop! Diabelle and Aether went to Singer's Brook to scour the area to find the famous shop. They fluttered around together, and found they had a bunch in common, however she only wished to try the treats while he wanted to bake them. When they found the shop they were astonished. It was more than they had thought and there were dragons bustling about, eating sweets and conversing. They went in, Aether inquiring about the job while Diabelle ordered a small cake. Before long, Aether was making tarts and Diabelle was being his taste tester. She helped him make the cute Pistachio Pear Tarts and they became one of Jophiel's favorite goods.
