She was standing outside of her clans outpost.
It was so boring. It was like, really boring. She looked up at the inhospitable sky the crackled thunder and lighting, her spear at talon. This was probably the most boring job in the world, just sitting at Clan Neox’s gate. Her lord probably would be very happy if she took off work early, nor would the Stormcatcher. Anyhow, she was raised in an orphanage, alone and friendless. The smell there was horrible, like a rat went into a dumpster and ate rotten banana peels. Of course they would give her a pointless job like this
“It IS important, weasel,” Neox would snap at her when she demanded a work change, then shoo her out. Her partner, a garnet red spiral she’ll never remember the name of, always said that there “job” wasn’t “meaningless” and mouse dung like that.
Wait. What was that?
She saw a flicker of light across the sky. Yawn. Nothing unusual.
But it was getting closer and closer, and it was flaming red. Hundreds of fire dragons swooped out of the dark grey clouds, storming in. A golden coalt dragon threw down a bomb at the camp.
“Hurry!” Her partner said. She rushed into the town, taking full flight and heading towards Neox’s office.She knocked on the door, her hind legs painfully scraping against the cobblestone. The door flung open and she nearly fell inside at the sight of the cyan blue dragon.
“WHA-“ he shouted, but he was cut off by the enemy dragons landing deadly close to them.
“FOOL!” He shouted at her, making her jump. “That was in the sky HALF AN HOUR AGO! You should have WARNED ME, SNIVELING COWARD! You know what. You know what? GET OUT. You are irritating to me. Well, what are you standing there for? Your BANISHED!”
She looked at the grumpy imperial in disbelief. He slammed the door on her and she looked behind her at the battle ahead.
She pushed by the dragons, nearly getting stabbed or set on fire by lightning. She kicked a vibrant blue skydancer in the face, then took flight into the starting thunderstorm, searching for a new clan...
