Fovi

Fovi is a phoenix, currently in her tenth incarnation since she started counting. Her incarnations work a little different from the classic phoenix rebirths, in that they are tied to two other souls: Icarus and Vesper, soulmates, bound to find - and lose - each other over, and over, and over. Their meeting is not a question, but an eventuality, and the powers of the world do not like that. It is the same, each time. The universe does everything it can to rip apart the souls they created. They meet, they begin to remember, and then the dreams come. One of them dies, one of them brings the world to its knees with the force of her grief - and everything resets. One dies, the other ends the world, and then the world goes back to living, wiping away the traces of their existence - and with them, Fovi. Fovi acts as a recordkeeper for the two that have become her charge. She always appears in the world before them, with all of her memories of the past intact, while Icarus and Vesper never remember on their own. They begin to remember when they meet, the force of their love for each other the thing that saves them before it kills them... and Fovi? After so long, what else can she do but love them both?
