Biography
A dragon based off of my middle school orchestra teacher. She was a lovable, childish musical genius and I miss her. She touched every student that entered her class, and even though really nobody else outside of that school knows she exists, she holds a special place in our hearts. We love you Ms. Brosius!
The best song we played while I was in orchestra was
Centrifuge. Epic Adventure came in a close second. But never mention Pachelbel Canon around me or I will stab you with my bow. Don't test me.
Wow. We were actually playing good, for a 6th grade orchestra. I was keeping up with the other cellists, keeping my eyes on Ms. Brosius' conducting stick. Ms. Brosius was looking around her orchestra, her gaze hopping from each group of instruments, listening to hear if one made a mistake. Then her eyes caught on something. She raised her hands up to stop the song, and I was worried that we had somehow ruined our perfect run. Then she carried an empty chair over to a wall, stepped onto it, and then proceeded to turn a tilted painting. She turned to the class and said,
"That wasn't bothering the rest of you?" We spent the next half an hour helping her try and make the painting perfectly straight.
Ms. Brosius lifted up her conducting stick, signaling everyone to get ready. The violinists lifted their instruments to their chins, the violists following suit, and as the cellists wrapped their fingers around the strings-
BANG!
There was a loud thump, and Ms. Brosius yelled "Who died?!" We all looked to the middle of the cello section, and we soon found that it had just been someone's water bottle falling on the ground.
I yawned. 7th grade was really not treating me well. My brain was definitely not ready to read a sentence, let alone focus on a sheet of music. I looked around at the rest of my classmates; they all seemed like their day had started the same way as mine. Oh well, we all have bad days, that doesn't change the fact that we still had to participate in class. Ms. Brosius, chipper and active as ever, clicked her mouse and a loud A note played from her computer speaker for us to tune to. Reluctantly, we all lifted up our instruments and began to wake them up (even though we didn't feel the same). It wasn't until we actually started playing our music that Ms. Brosius noticed something was up.
"Are you guys awake today?" She said it as a joke, but then we all collectively started to explain how all of our other teachers were assigning a lot of work. She was concerned for us, it read clear on her face. She put down her conducting stick and started walking towards the exit of the portable, before turning to us and smiling. "Come on everyone, we're going for a walk."
