I do not fancy when they comment on my past, it is mildly insalting, like rubbing salt into the wound.

>father got slain by a bunch of cruel soldiers for not cooperating
>mother passed away out of grief
>worked hard extracting salt
>his hands are dry and his soul weeps
>managed to gather a fine fortune but accidentally got involved in shady business which almost cost him his life
>unfortunately, his partner paid the price instead
>stricken with grief, he left his home and wandered to the outskirts, hoping to have his life taken by beasts
>he stumbled upon a shrine in the hilly area
>and there, on a velvet blanket surrounded by flowers and sand, laid the mummified remains of a couple who died in each other's arms
>he read a note that one of them was holding, about how they had lost everything and went to the shrine to pray for guidance and to find solutions, but instead one of them got wounded
>with a sandstorm on the horizon, they knew there was no way out so they gave in and died together
>it hit him hard and he did in fact realise that he still has a chance to rebuild his life
>he returned to the village, packed his things and left with some of his companions to find a better life
>he ended up moving to the delta and, eventually, with the help of his companions, he established a tiny village on the coast where he extracts salt
>he managed to regain most of his wealth and is now in a better place
