"the Capacitor"

___Before the formation of the Council the colony of Banescales were nesting to the south within the Great Furnace. The fateful day when Azazel's Legion claimed territory, the Banescales were forced to flee to the shadows up north.

___The skirmish caught eye from a traveler from the Lightning Collectors, Cataclysm. Seeing young hatchlings and eggs in danger hit deeply, causing Cataclysm to swoop down and save an egg. The traveler had been on route back from an arduous journey, not leaving much room for anymore than one egg. But that's one less egg in danger.

___The egg was dropped off at the HUB, in the Shifting Expanse where it would hatch and learn to become the sarcastic, tireless, busy-body we know today. He was nicknamed, "the Capacitor," because he typically held on to too much electricity before discharging.

___Raiju did his best to fit in with the other hatchlings, although many were very disinterested in him (and in anything else outside of the tasks at hand). After a while, he developed the same work mentality and desired to remain in the Shifting Expanse with Zosma who agreed to also remain, while the many left to expand.

___As time passed, Raiju and Zosma became very efficient workers. "Work smarter AND harder!" Zosma looks over at Raiju - seeing how much Raiju's work ethic has changed. They decided to visit the central line to help out for the day.

___As they arrive at the heart of the HUB, their tasks were quickly assigned. But before Raiju could continue, a figure approached. It was the matriarch, herself. Raiju hid the joy and honor that he felt for being approached, however the unamused look in her eye said it all. Without even acknowledging Raiju's existence, she turned to Zosma, muttered one word while pointing to Raiju and left. The message was then relayed to Raiju.

"No."

___Having work alongside the Lightning Collectors for some time, Raiju and Zosma understood what this meant. Raiju didn't belong and it was as simple as that, no matter how hard he pretended to be like the rest. Without hesitation and without a farewell, Zosma continued on and Raiju left in the same instance.

___His hard work was not unfruitful, however. Raiju caught the attention of one of the Stormcatcher's Goblin and a Lightning Sprite was later sent to keep tabs on Raiju.

___Wandering aimlessly and purposeless, Raiju became bitter. While traveling, he heard news about a clan of Banescales that had formed in the Tangled Woods, and decided to carry on in that direction.

___Having not worked for such long periods caused Raiju to become restless, anxious and increased static build up. Upon arrival to the outlands of Obsidia, Raiju saw a fiery Banescale. As he approached her from behind, she became startled and within a split-second she attacked. They fought for a week without eating or sleeping. Raiju, unamused, but happily able to let out all the built up energy, and Ifrit, finally meeting her match.

___Storms created by their encounter swelled up in size. The Council of Obsidia investigated and upon witnessing the two, decided to recruit Raiju.

___Wherever Raiju goes, a thunderstorm follows. The storm clouds are constantly charged by Raiju's static field which has been the result of holding an overcharge of electricity. Ever since the exile from the Lightning Collectors, Raiju has had no reason to displace the charge that he has built up and collected over time.

___Raiju and Ifrit reside alone at the tower, due to the hazard their storms create. In addition to the storms they create, instances where the firestorms and thunderstorms collide create deadly arc flashes.
