Biography

The room within the castle was stark and bone quiet, empty but for the dust and ghosts. Well- that wasn't quite right was it?

The sharp, refracted light from glass shards littered the stone walls, pinpricking the darkness with cool toned colors and shapes. A figurehead broken into fine dust, it's ancient starlight bearing witness to the Holy Citadel's grave.

Or perhaps -

A rattle in the hallway and then a shift of fabric as a small shape drags a tome through the doorway. It's silhouette is decrepit and void of distinctive features - somehow it was remarkable that they had managed to carry the volume at all. The pages were thick and yellowed with age, the sour aroma of decay wafting from within the ink-stained crevices. It is with sudden horror that your body starts to convulse with a series of rough coughs and gasps as your stomach lurches from the stench.

Memories are easily lost in a place such as this. It whispered.

The creature continued lugging the item towards the center of the throne-room, stopping briefly to face the source of the retching.

You must understand that the wrath brought upon the Holy Citadel resulted in a slow death, an endless rot. It is agonizing to understand, startling to behold. The spirits still left within these walls would stop at nothing to ease the pain that it brings.

A scratch as the creature opens the tome, clouds of grey wafting into putrid air, curling into spaces unfilled.

Remember, traveler. And then once it is done, venture into the abyss. Do not be afraid of what you find there. The creature hissed.

As you read the crumbling pages, the thrum in the back of your mind morphs into a flood of noise and fire and all consuming grief. Pain so deep that you could feel writhing within your teeth, your stomach, your marrow. And suddenly, just suddenly -

You remember.
LORE DISCLAIMER

To sum up, there are brief mentions of gore, psychosis, and an underlying religious tone throughout the lore. I grew up in a deeply Christian household and while I am no longer religious I thoroughly enjoy biblical mysticism and symbolism and have incorporated that into my lore. (As well as a few components that are inspired by Greek mythology because why not?) By no means do I wish to offend anyone so if the heavy religious tones would bother you, please just know that the lore is loosely based off of the fall of Sodom and Gomorrah. The lore also contains references to biblical angels, sin, and the book of revelations among other things. If that's not up your alley, no offense taken! Feel free to just enjoy my babies and ignore their bios, ha!
