Biography

Pewter
she/her

bitter • sarcastic • antisocial

Like many dull-colored Coatls, Pewter was turned away from her clan as a hatchling, as she was considered to be a bad omen. This turned her bitter and angry, and she developed a distaste for her own species. She wandered Sornieth for years with no purpose or destination, and along the way she learned to speak Traditional Draconic fluently, albeit with a strange accent that sounds like an amalgamation of various regional dialects, and ultimately denounced the Coatl language altogether.

Eventually Pewter decided to settle down, having grown weary of wandering, although her intention was never to join a clan. After a while of living in a secluded spot in the Hewn City, however, her tail was paralyzed when a stone pillar collapsed onto it, leaving her unable to fly properly. This led her to search for a clan that would take her in, and eventually she found one.

Notably, Pewter's beautiful gembond trait has only served to exacerbate her inability to fly - the gems on her wings keep her feathers from working properly. Like many feathered dragons with the gembond gene, she had a little extra trouble flying from the very beginning, although she quickly learned to use her tail in ways that helped compensate for her difficulties. However, after her tail was paralyzed, the gembond reared its head once more, preventing her from ever getting off the ground again, let alone staying aloft.

I wasn't born like this
Hurt people, hurt people
I'd rather be heartless
Than have my heart in pieces
