PERSONALITY Shy, studious, and easily embarrassed. Amanek is a wandering scholar who prefers to be alone with the earth beneath his claws and the stars above his head. He doesn't know how to deal with other dragons, so he simply doesn't. His tendency to go out of his way to avoid interacting with others is more impressive than offensive, so much that his friends and family think it almost endearing. He has a quiet voice and tends to mumble a lot, a stark contrast to Rue's extroverted and friendly personality.  ABOUT From amanecer, meaning dawn. Amanek is the older brother of Rue. Endlessly fascinated by the pursuit of knowledge, Amanek has taken on a nomadic life, traveling all over the realm in search of rare herbs. He's an artist at heart, and chronicles his findings in very elaborate sketchbooks organized meticulously in his dusty library. Unlike Rue, Amanek is not very sociable and tends to keep to himself, his snout pressed deep into his sketchbooks or the earth itself. Where Rue has no trouble striking up conversation with complete strangers, Amanek hardly speaks to anyone at all. Despite that, the two were inseparable as hatchlings, with Rue barraging their older brother with an endless string of questions. Ever the patient one, Amanek would take the time to quietly answer each and every one in the order they were asked. Little did he know he would inspire Rue so greatly to pursue a life of teaching others. Despite his elusive nature, Amanek and Rue still remain very close after hundreds of years. Every so often Amanek will come back to the Whispering Forest to stock up on supplies and organize his library, which tends to get disheveled from Rue's use of it.

COMMENTS Amanek is truly all of my favorite colors in one dragon. Coincidentally he was the same prim and sec as my custom progen, Eryri! I guess I'm a Swamp fan through and through.
