Ember is energetic and wild like the unpredictable nature of his namesake. While he can seem strangely bubbly, there’s method to his madness; he’s smarter than others expect him to be, which can catch enemies off guard. All that he does is for his clanmates, for whom he would do anything for.

Hatched in Dragonhome to a travelling couple - a coatl from The Ashfall Waste and a tundra from The Southern Icefield - Ember’s life was full of moving from place to place. As a young dragon he was a lot more shy, and that paired with the few possibilities of befriending other dragons his age meant he didn’t have anyone to talk to, he was in close correspondence with a skydancer from The Windswept Plateau named Bennu through the dragon’s banded owlcat. Because of where his egg was laid and where he hatched, Ember found a close connection to Dragonhome of all the places he’d been, specifically the small village of Bridgeside. Every time he passed through there, Ember acted more like himself the most. He became close friends with the child of the clan’s hereditary leader, Mistletoe, along with a few other Bridgesiders his age. As he’d grown old enough and began going places more and more without his parents, Ember spent as much time as he could in Bridgeside, mostly because of Mistletoe. It wasn’t until after he’d become council leader and gotten to know her better from that, they confessed they liked eachother. [To be continued]

Mistletoe ~ Partner

Love of his life, partner in crime, Ember would do anything for Mistletoe. Despite being almost completely opposite, they have incredible chemistry and lead the clan very well; if one has a flaw, the other has a matching strength in the same area. Monthly, before each elemental festival, Ember and Mistletoe weave crowns of flowers and leaves for eachother, a tradition they've had since before founding the clan

Kindling ~ Familiar

Ember really isn’t all that sure where he met or found Kindling, but they’ve been very close since Ember was a tiny hatchling, leading him to suspect Kindling was originally a crude toy he made with whatever he could get his paws on. The two are practically inseparable - Kindling nestles itself into Ember’s neck fur, and keeps him company while he goes through his daily tasks. Though they don’t speak the same language, they’ve practically mastered communicating without speech in their own sort of language.

Sootie ~ Familiar

Banded Owlcat Familiar The banded owlcat moves silently, both in the air and on the ground. 1900

Years after Bennu’s death, Sootie found Ember while the tundra was training. The small owlcat was dirty and looked as if she hadn’t eaten in months, so Ember and Kindling immediately took her in. It wasn’t until recently that Ember realized she his best friend’s companion. And through slowly developing a closer bond with her, Ember has filled some gaps in what he knew of Bennu’s story.
