Chaotic Evil

Cilicia (or otherwise referred to simply as “The Mage”) is proficient in magic of all kinds. She began practicing it at a young age, when she worked nature and Druidic magic. Gradually, however, she expanded her range and started learning darker magics and necromancy. She had been told to be careful, that magic requires a price from all who practice it, and she believed it. She just didn’t care. She grew restless, tiring of the restraints both lawful and moral. She began experimenting, using methods no dragon has ever dared or been able to do. She opened doors she could not close, nor did she want to close them. This culminated in a ritual where it is said—no one knows for sure what really happened—that she died tragically, rejected by both Heaven and Hell. Now she wanders in a state of limbo, neither in this world nor the next. But that is not where her story ends. After centuries, an eternal Being, a Being beyond thought and imagination but banned from the earth, found her shade wandering restlessly. It struck up a deal with her. She would get her body back, but It would also inhabit her body at the same time. It is not natural for a dragon to possess two souls, and when this happens the two souls battle over habitation of the vessel. One succeeds, banishing or destroying the other. It is unclear whether Cilicia is the vessel of two souls, one her own and one Other, or if the Other and infinitely more powerful soul has long since destroyed any vestiges of humanity Cilicia had left.
