Ridgeback Grenadine and spiral Vanir, a couple of wandering dragons finally reached the border of Fire Flight. They wanted to stay there for a few weeks, enjoy the jacuzzi by the sea and the famous black sand softly polishing dragon scales before leaving for the Windswept Plateau. They wanted to end their journey by visiting Grenadine’s family at Zephyr Steppes and celebrate successful journey around Sornieth. On their way through Volcanic Vents they felt a powerful stream of magic below them. Curiosity didn’t let them leave that without proper investigation, so they landed and tried to sense where this magic was coming from. Suddenly earth started shaking and the magic became stronger. Subspecies Lore 2
When the magical magma awakened banescale eggs sealed by gaolers, some of it transformed 2 travellers nearby. Young couple fainted and when they woke up, their scales were burned by the magma, some of it built into their body creating weird, glowing veins. Around them there was a group of lost banescale hatchlings looking for love and guidance. Grenadine and Vanir became foster parents for these banebies and decided to settle down in Ashfall Waste, so their new children could be close to the magic that gave them life.

It quickly came out, that mysterious magic that created orange veins is inheritable. Some of the banebies, that were born almost black with bright, glowing magma under their skin, seemed to be stronger and smarter than their siblings. Could this mutation affect more than just look? That is to be found out...
