Biography

From the moment the first Seer was picked by the Gods to read the stars and lead the clan, they had help. Advisors, servants and, of course, guards.

Baron's mother had served the previous Seer. Her father had served the one before that. His father, too. And so on, since the Gods had blessed the first ever Seer with the ability to read the stars and lead the clan Baron's family had been there, providing assistance.

He himself had never left Aquila's side since she'd been announced as the next Seer. It had become common during her training to see the Fae following or waiting near the young Guardian, forever ready to drop everything to help her out in any way possible, from carrying her things to assisting her in her duties to pouring her a drink from the tea tray that was constantly hanging around his neck.

That was all most, including Aquila herself, thought his duties entailed. To just help out the Seer in training as her personal servant. Which was the goal.

It meant when the clan was attacked, and four dragons who had split off from the main force with the intent to murder the new Seer entered the home she stayed in, none were worried about the dragon accompanying her.

After all, he was only a small Fae. Was coloured bright pink. Was never without his aforementioned tea tray. Was never seen as anything but the Seer's personal servant.

So when he put down his tray and, with nothing but the knife that he always carried (that Aquila had only see him use on scones), he dispatched all four of the would be assassins, most of whom were two to three times his size.

Not even Aquila herself was expecting that.

Realizing their place of sanctuary was no longer safe, Baron grabbed her by the hand and led her out. Briefly stopping to arm himself with a fallen guard's sword (which was a bit too large for him but nothing he couldn't handle), they continued on, with Baron at the lead to deal with any further attackers, stopping only to fight, rescue other townsfolk and recuperate.

They slowly amassed a large group, with each rallying behind the new Seer, determined that they would give their lives for her. She tasked Baron with the sole purpose of making sure that didn't happen. Together, they managed to reach the outskirts of town with some injuries but no casualties.

Once they were out of the town, a loud distant crashing stopped the group and every head turned to watch as the Seer's tower, where the current Seer and her guards had no doubt made their last stand, began to crumble and toppled over sideways, crushing several buildings as it fell. After a moment, the sounds of cheering could be heard.

Baron felt tears threaten to make an appearance. The tower falling clearly meant the Seer had perished, along with her guards. Their leader, and his mother, were dead.

He glanced to his left, to Aquila, who had beaten him to it and already had tears running down her face. He dried his eyes. Their group numbered between two to three dozen, remnants of the clan that had numbered upwards of two to three hundred. What they needed was a strong leader, and that title fell to Aquila. What she needed was help.

When Aquila glanced down at his approach, she saw a warm smile.
“Where to now, Seer?” He asked.
