Biography
Even though Xathanael originates from the Windswept Plateau, she is nothing like the care-free dragons that dwell there. She is a harsh and unforgiving creature, and a terrible mother. At heart, a true plaguekin.
As a young hatchling she was shuffled around a lot, unwillingly going from clan to clan. Xath was able to meet many different dragons from many different realms, but ended up hating them all. She saw many nice faces, but no clan kept her. She assumed something was wrong with herself, so at first she tried to be nice and fit in, burring who she was, but her violent outburst and twisted ways always got the better of her. Eventually she just let them take over and govern her.
Xath eventually made it to the Scarred Wasteland and stayed there, she thought that the twisted landscape fit her ugly soul. She roamed the Wasteland as a loner for quite a while, stealing from clans when she couldn't find food. Xath even cannibalized a few hatchlings. At the edge of the Arcane boarder one day she got into a tussle with an Onyx Striker she was hunting, and got bit. After a few days icy gems developed across her body, and she welcomed them. Their cool look matched her harsh soul.
Then one day, when she was out scavenging for food, she ran into Havoc and got into a tussle with him, and he won, of course. He brought her back to his clan to have her work a few week as a punishment for attacking him unprovoked. Xath stayed in the clan, often trying to escape, and did her time, then she left.
After a few weeks on her own, Xath slowly returned to the area around Havoc's clan. At the clan, she had eaten the best she had in months, and, even though she was a slave worker, had felt like she was at least slightly welcomed. Havoc spotted her a few times and then confronted her, giving her the opportunity to join the clan, or he will be forced to chase her off. He gave Xath a few days to decide. Then one night she cautiously approached the lair and Havoc showed her to a place she could sleep, but she refused and took her place outside of the lair, away from the others, where she has stayed ever since, on the fringes of clan life. And she often disappears for days on end.
During one of Xath's days long escapades, she got into a scuffle with a small neighboring clan, and was obviously on the loosing end. Then an imperial intervened and helped her out. He was very kind to her and offered her help after the skirmish, to which she spat hatred and threats as her reply, that, even in her injured condition, could uphold. Over the next few months she often encountered this imperial, who was a member of an allied clan. Xath hated his guts, and often attacked him when he approached. Eventually she tolerated him, then she started to like him in her own weird way. He grew very affectionate towards her and asked if she would be his life mate. Xath, of course, shot him down, many times. Eventually she agreed to having a nest with him, and he declared her his life mate, but she never declared him hers, and never will. When their first nest hatched, the imperial began to realize that Xath was defiantly not the mother type, and would probably end up killing the hatchlings, so he became their only parent figure and let Xath not be in their lives, like she preferred.
Because they live in separate clans, they don't get to see each other much, and Xath does not mind at all, but her mate, being clingy, visits often, even if it does end up getting him attacked for it.
